Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is an American-based multinational electronic commerce company. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, it is America's largest online retailer, with nearly three times the Internet sales revenue of the runner up, Staples, Inc., as of January 2010.

Jeff Bezos founded Amazon.com, Inc. in 1994 and launched it online in 1995 as Cadabra.com. It started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified, selling DVDs, CDs, MP3 downloads, computer software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, and toys. Amazon has established separate websites in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, and China. It also provides international shipping to certain countries for some of its products. A 2009 survey found that Amazon was the UK's favorite music and video retailer, and third overall retailer.

is it possible to purchase an extended warranty after purchasing a new camera at amazon.com?
Q. Amazon.com doesn't have an option to purchase extended warranty and i'd like to get one for a camera on that website. Is it possible to purchase outside warranty for a camera on amazon.com? if so, where?

A. Yes, apparently B&H offers them, so check other camera retailers. But why? Consumer Reports says it is money down the drain.

How do I list an item that is not currently not on Amazon.com if I don't have a barcode?
Q. I know they require a barcode for new items but I see other sellers selling items I get from the same distributor that do not have bar codes, how are they listing these items? Usually items that are not intended to be sold in a storefront setting (especially those that come from overseas) do not have bar codes, so how are these types of items supposed to be sold on Amazon?

A. I would suggest using GreenTextbooks.org Save Money, Save The Planet GreenTextbooks.org specializes in the recycling of textbooks, DVDs, CDs. Buying used textbooks not only saves you money, but cuts down on greenhouse gases caused by the manufacturing of new textbooks. With GreenTextbooks.org you're not only saving trees, you are saving some green.
